Attack No. 1?

Mila/Kozue is a highschool girl and enthusiastic volleyball player. Her dream is to play in the japanese national volleyball team. In the proceed of the series she makes it from the school district league up to the japanese volleyball finals, step by step till the international volleyball championship. But the faster and higher mila climb the career ladder up, the more she gets confronted with the dark side of success: too high expectations, self-conceit and envy are becoming progressive to serious problems.

Personal opinion

Needless to say, I'm a huge fan of Attack No. 1, or better said of "Mila Superstar". I love Mila, her ambition to become the world's best volleyball player, her dedication to volleyball in general and she just seems so human to me. Attack No.1 is an anime with which you can feel along, you can cry and laugh and it's just beautiful to watch how a young girl's growing up and always going towards her dream, never stopping, never hesitating, come what will. Mila has many difficult situations to face, sometimes she's desperate, on the end of her abilities, but she always finds a way to manage. It's somehow amazing how this anime seems to enchant you with each episode. At the end the series you just can't help but to admire Mila and the whole series. =)

Another point which just seems unbelievable to me is, that the series aired about 30 years ago and was one or probably THE first sports anime ever. It was also one of my very first animes I watched and even after years, I love it and that's really something <3

So I want to show my support and let the fandom grow as much as possible- if you are a fan of Mila/Kozue, Kaori and all the other characters of the anime or the manga/anime itself, why don't you join? :D
